Now that Cat Galaxy has changed to a new audio and web provider, a morning show for
felines is in the works which will hopefully give them a good start to their day.
The station which is based in Scottsdale, Arizona and will soon be celebrating its
5th year of broadcasting recently went live 24/7 in 128k CD quality stereo after
leaving Live365 and joining other stations on Shoutcast and Loudcity.
"It was tough being on Live365 and our station went about as far as it could go
there. We felt there wasn't any more room for growth and after 4 years we finally
decided it was time to move on," said Nohl Rosen who is one of the owners and
spokesperson for the station.
The morning show which will feature all the cats of Cat Galaxy as well as their
human will hopefully be a way to give cats a good start to their day while the
humans are off at work.
"Despite cats sleeping 16 hours per day, they are also awake and active as well.
Humans listen to and enjoy morning shows on their local radio stations. Why
shouldn't cats have their own show in the mornings to listen to and enjoy? We do
expect some humans to be listening as well and welcome them." Rosen added.
Cat Galaxy started broadcasting its new live 24/7 format earlier this month and has
live shows at night as well including Meow Mixing Monday, Tuesday Night Cat Club,
Wednesday Night Cat Attack, Thursday Night Purr Party, and the Friday Night Feline
Frenzy. All those shows begin at 7pm (6pm Pacific, 8pm Central, 9pm Eastern).
